The Equestrian Center at McLendon Hills provides the perfect opportunity
for those who love horses but don’t necessarily have the time to care for
them on a daily basis. While owners of mini-farm sites (lots of 3 to 5-acres)
may stable their horses on their own property if desired, all resident
property owners are offered preferred rates and availability at The Equestrian
Center.
Features
of The Equestrian Center include a newly constructed covered riding arena; fully outfitted 24-stall central
barn with a climate-controlled rider’s lounge, kitchen amenities, large
shower, and restroom; 3 outdoor rings, including dressage riding area, lighted
riding area, and hilltop ring with show-quality
jumps - each with all-weather footing; run-in sheds; and more
than 20 acres alloted for grazing. All of this is surrounded
by over 8-1/2 miles of bridle trails beginning and ending at
the Center, and gently traversing woods, fields, hills, and streams throughout
McLendon
Hills. The Center provides boarding and lessons for residents and
non-residents alike. Riding is open to each discipline, and caters to riders
of all ages and experience. Our staff places a strong emphasis on the teaching
of fine horsemanship skills and practices no matter what your discipline interest,
and the center is often host to schooling shows.
